BASIS Tucson Primary is seeking qualified candidates for a Full-Time School Monitor position that starts immediately.
The hours will be from 9am to 5:30pm.
BASIS.ed is seeking a Full-Time Monitor to provide support services to the school's faculty and staff in order to meet the mission of BASIS.ed Schools. In this role, the Monitor is primarily responsible for monitoring student activities (e.g. lunches, and after school) with a heavy emphasis on running the afterschool programs. The Monitor position is a great opportunity to work for a highly dynamic, fast-paced organization with room for growth.
Primary Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide active supervision and interacting with students.
Actively engaging with students during free-choice play and assisting them with their homework.
Assist with student dismissal as caregivers arrive and sign out their students Monitors escort students to their caregivers
Performing clerical tasks
- Additional tasks as assigned
- Able to manage authoritatively and effectively large groups of K-4th-grade students before school. lunches, and/or after-school programs
- Be punctual and reliable
- Ability to coordinate resources and people for our after-school programs
Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma and valid fingerprint clearance are required to work at BASIS.ed.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with children is preferred along with experience coordinating after-school programs. Together with a high level of personal responsibility and optimism, a successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills will thrive in a fast-paced, achievement-oriented learning environment, and will be able to stand for long periods of time inside and outside of the building.
